It's the most important issue facing ME, however. It's always best to talk about what's CLOSEST to you first.

From reading Daschle's book -- Critical -- I took away the message that you have to take incremental steps.

I am not sure what % young people like my son represents among the 40 million or so people without health insurance, but that group is often cited as an EXCUSE for not doing anything -- it's mostly young, healthy people out of college, they say, who do not have insurance -- but it's only temporary, so we shouldn't worry about the uninsured, they say.

If you cover these people, then that excuse evaporates and people like me can stop worrying about their flesh and blood and worry more about other, less fortunate citizens, especially now that the chances have risen that loss of a job may put me and my whole family into their ranks!PharmaGuyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10211557578124130640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8550428.post-82914465815911208432008-12-07T17:01:00.000-05:002008-12-07T17:01:00.000-05:00How about the MILLIONS of ADULTS that don't have, ...How about the MILLIONS of ADULTS that don't have, nor ever had, any type of healthcare coverage, what about them?! Lets work on getting adults with no coverage covered first instead worrying about 23-25 year old "children" continuing coverage. 25 years old... psshhhh!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
