To this end I invite everyone reading your comments to go back to my original post. My intention was not to call out the FDA, or our Clients but to raise the larger question of where are we going with the confluence of digital technologies and the laws that govern our nation and our business environments? And as a society perhaps we need to be concerned about how these various laws and regulations are interpreted and how the digital world is changing our perspective.

To your point, many businesses and corporations use Freedom of Speech as both an offensive and defensive strategy to protect their interests.

Speaking of interests, I do want to thank you for spending what I hope was enjoyable time with the Palio website and reviewing our case studies. Frankly, I owe you a beer. Reading your comments made me realize that we had a phrase in the voice over for the Zometa case study that, while not intended, certainly could be seen as a claim. We just revised the case study to eliminate that language. Beyond that as you said, it’s a good story.

I do want to clarify that the work we were asked to remove from the Web was not Zometa and it was nothing on our Palio site. It was in fact unbranded work – no claims involved and therefore nothing to be taken out of context. The work in question was posted to one of our social media sites. I guess I should have made this clear in my original post, but my point was more about the Web in general, so I can understand why this may have been confusing.

The objective of PixelsandPills.com is to start a dialogue about issues and ideas that bring technology to the forefront of problem solving for us, and our industry. To this end I invite you to check out my other post about the Digital Sales Team.

Thank you again for your thoughtful response to my post and for keeping the dialogue going and ideas flowing.

-- Guy MastrionGuy Mastrionhttp://www.pixelsandpills.comnoreply@blogger.com
